<br />Not a believer inside the mosque
<br />न मैं कुफर दीयँ रीताँ
<br />Nor a pagan disciple of false rites
<br />न मैं पाकाँ विच पलीताँ
<br />Not the pure amongst the impure
<br />न मैं मूसा न फरहौन
<br />Neither Moses, nor the Pharoh
<br />
<br />बुल्लेया ! की जाना मैं कौन
<br />
<br />न मैं अन्दर वेद किताबाँ
<br />Not in the holy Vedas,
<br />न विच भंगाँ ना शराबा
<br />Nor in opium, neither in wine
<br />न विच रिन्दाँ मसत खराबाँ
<br /> Not in the drunkard`s intoxicated craze
<br />न विच जागाँ ना विच सौं
<br />Niether awake, nor in a sleeping daze
<br />
<br />बुल्लेया ! की जाना मैं कौन
<br />
<br />ना विच शादी ना घमनाकी
<br />In happiness nor in sorrow, am I
<br />ना मैं विच पलीती पाकी
<br />Neither clean, nor a filthy mire
<br />ना मैं आबी ना मैं खाकी
<br />Not from water, nor from earth
<br />ना मैं आतिश न मैं पावँ
<br />Neither fire, nor from air, is my birth
<br />
<br />बुल्लेया ! की जाना मैं कौन
<br />
<br />ना मैं अरबी ना लाहौरी
<br />Not an Arab, nor Lahori
<br />ना मैं शहर नगौरी
<br />Neither Hindi, nor Nagauri
<br />न हिन्दू न तुरक पेशावरी
<br />Hindu, Turk (Muslim), nor Peshawari
<br />न मैं रैन्दा विच नदौँ
<br />Nor do I live in Nadaun
<br />
<br />बुल्लेया ! की जाना मैं कौन
<br />
<br />ना मैं भेद मजहब दा पाया
<br />Secrets of religion, I have not known
<br />ना मैं आदम हव्वा जाया
<br />From Adam and Eve, I am not born
<br />ना मैं अपना नाम धराया
<br />I am not the name I assume
<br />ना विच बैठाँ ना विच भौं
<br />Not in stillness, nor on the move
<br />
<br />बुल्लेया ! की जाना मैं कौन
<br />
<br />अव्वल आखिर आप न जाना
<br />I am the first, I am the last
<br />न कोई दूजा होर पेहचाना
<br />None other, have I ever known
<br />मैं थों होर ना कोई सयाना
<br />I am the wisest of them all
